Questions
Light or Plus – which one is for me?
The balancing Light is for normal, oily and combination skin; the extra-rich Plus treats cry skin. If you're unsure, start with Light.
Suitable for oily or blemish-prone skin?
Yes, especially then. Treating oily skin with products that strip away its oils triggers it to produce even more. Less Face Oil Light nourishes with a calming blend of oils, without stripping the skin – so it settles back into balance on its own. The skin calms, clears and mattifies.
What about mature skin?
Less is for every skin, at every age. Over the years, the protective barrier grows thinner: the skin loses moisture, becomes more sensitive, fine lines appear. Less Face Oil gives the skin back exactly the lipids it lacks, making it more resilient and plump. And because Less contains no additives, more sensitive skin tolerates it especially well.
Suitable for sensitive skin and rosacea?
Yes. Less Face Oil was specifically developed for sensitive skin. It doesn't contain a single additive – no emulsifiers, no
preservatives, no fragrances, and so none of the most common triggers for irritation. Many customers with rosacea report noticeable relief. Every skin is different, though, so in skin care there's no substitute for trying it over a few weeks.
Is there an adjustment period?
Yes, and with good skincare that's normal. As the skin transitions from previous products and rebalances its sebum production, it may react in the first few weeks with tightness, flaking or small blemishes. This passes. Stay consistent, and make sure Less Face Oil and water absorb fully.
How long does a bottle last?
Longer than its small size suggests. Because Less Face Oil is pure and concentrated, a few drops per application are enough. One bottle holds 600 drops (26 ml) – on average, enough for two to three months.
What about sun protection?
Always apply Less Face Oil first and let it absorb; when the sun is intense, add your sun protection on top – ideally a mineral one. Most days, the best protection is the natural kind: shade, a hat, sunglasses, and staying out of the midday sun.
Can I still wear make-up?
Yes. Let Less Face Oil absorb, then apply your make-up as usual. Tip: pure plant oil works well for gentle make-up removal – all you need is a little grapeseed or apricot kernel oil, a damp cotton pad and warm water.
What about retinol and vitamin C?
These are highly active, isolated ingredients that act on the skin, can irritate it, and usually need stabilisers and preservatives. Less Face Oil works differently: it rebuilds the protective barrier. An intact barrier is the foundation of healthy skin – and for many, all they need. If you'd still like to use an isolated ingredient, it works best on skin that Less Face Oil has already calmed and strengthened.
And hyaluronic acid?
Only water hydrates. Hyaluronic acid is a film former: it doesn't penetrate the skin but binds moisture on the surface – hence the familiar sheen. With Less Face Oil, the water goes into the skin as you apply it, and the oil holds it there. Jojoba oil takes on the film-forming role – for a glow that comes from within, not a shine that sits on the surface.
What's in Less Face Oil?
Only pure, cold-pressed plant oils from certified organic farming and the finest oil mills. Light contains jojoba, apricot kernel, grapeseed and hemp seed oil. Plus also contains avocado oil. No additives. Because Less Face Oil is entirely natural and unprocessed, its colour and scent may vary slightly from one harvest to the next – a sign of true purity and quality.
