"My paintings are silent, the subjects mostly commonplace. You see a figure in the landscape, in an empty room, sleeping or playing children, often they are introverted people. It is the abstract, intangible, invisible moment of human inner life that I try to capture in my painting. This way I create an atmosphere of the imaginary, like a space of fading memory."

"In Japan, everyday objects and rituals are given much attention and joy. The most known example is the Japanese tea ceremony. It is not about consuming things thoughtlessly, but about taking time and consciously experiencing every action, every detail. I also feel this philosophy very strongly with Less, from the tranquillity of the packaging to the pristine nature of the ingredients and finally to particular details, such as how much thought went into the design of the bowl and spoon so that they fit perfectly into the hand."
"My first touch point with Less was the packaging. It was so different: so calm, sensual, without a logo, without promises, without plastic. I had never seen such a reduction and purity in skin care before."
"The Less Cleansing Clay has a very special place with me. It feels so good and makes my skin incredibly soft. Every morning and evening I take a little bit of clay to cleanse my face. I then use the Less Face Oil Light with lots of water. Once a week I cleanse myself from head to toe with the clay."
We at Less are happy that from now on—while stocks last—every Less order will be accompanied by a small print by Miwa Ogasawara.
